White Balloon Films Does Disney’s Lion King!
It’s fair to say that we love being professional wedding videographers at White Balloon Films and as such, when we go on holiday, the cameras don’t stay at home! We are just back from a one week holiday in Spain and without a doubt, one of the highlights of our trip was the zoo in Valencia (Biopark). Armed with nothing more than one of our cameras and a zoom lens, we were able to film some of the incredible animals at this fantastic zoo so here is a short video we made. What does this have to do with Scottish wedding videos I hear you ask? Well, indirectly quite a lot actually. As event videographers, we have to be able to react to the environment in which we operate. A trip to the zoo might not be quite the same as being present at someone’s wedding but there is one constant, you can’t ask the bride to walk down the aisle twice if you make a mistake filming, nor can you ask an animal to do the same thing twice! This is where experience plays such an important role in wedding videography. Our little video of our trip to the zoo was done with no planning and only one camera and one lens. We did not have our steadicam, tripods, monopods, sliders, spare cameras and lenses etc. Yet the result is a really quite engaging and at times dramatic wildlife video. This is what we do with wedding videos, i.e. take a relatively unscripted event, capture the magic of the day on video and then edit in a way that produces something really special that our couples will want to watch again and again. Okay, so you might not want to hear your wedding compared to a trip to the zoo, but take comfort in the fact that if we can produce a video of this quality ‘on the fly’ then we can do really great things on your big day!
