Our cameras are really great…really great! At risk of getting geeky, now that we film in ultra-HD, or 4K, each frame we film is the equivalent of an 8 mega pixel photo and in theory, each frame can be used as a stand alone photo. Now of course stills taken from ultra HD video cannot replace the capabilities of professional photography at a wedding but it certainly is a nice indication of where the technology is going for us as wedding videographers. Who knows what the future holds when our cameras continue to improve. Here are some stills from our recent wedding at Glasgow University, Scotland.
We can’t get enough of our licensed aerial video capability. We are excited because we are only scratching the surface of what can be achieved at weddings with aerial video and photo so the future is bright! Scotland is blessed with an extraordinary depth of talent when it comes to wedding bands. Over the past 3 years, we have enjoyed seeing numerous exceptional bands get the party rocking for our couples. One such band is Glasgow-based, The Dawn Patrol. In addition to our cinematic wedding videos, White Balloon Films produces high quality promotional videos for amongst other things, Scottish wedding bands. Coinciding with the launch of their new website, here is the video we created for The Dawn Patrol. The amazing wedding of Clare and Alan at Melville Castle in Edinburgh! Although we are based in Glasgow, we find ourselves going to Edinburgh very often these days! What a unique and special day for Louise and John at Balbegno Castle, Fettercairn, Scotland. Every detail was perfect and it as so clear from our lovely couple that they were having the time of their lives. A pleasure to be their Scottish wedding videography team. Also, being in the countryside meant we could use our licensed aerial videography to good effect!
We are delighted to present this stunning Scottish wedding at Mar Hall, just outside Glasgow. An amazing day for all concerned, not least the wedding videographers, White Balloon Films! We have been to Mar Hall many times now but this was the first time we were able to employ our amazing aerial videography to full effect. Such a stunning Scottish wedding venue!

Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh, is spoilt for amazing Scottish wedding venues. Although White Balloon Films is based in Glasgow, these days we seem to spend our time equally between the west and east coast. This city centre Edinburgh wedding took in two amazing wedding venues – Canongate Kirk for the ceremony, and The New Club for the reception…what a combination!
