Over the winter we rebuilt White Balloon Films wedding videography capability learning new skills, bringing state-of-the-art filmmaking gadgets such as our Varavon Birdycam 2 gimbal into our business and upgrading to new Panasonic ultra-HD 4K cameras. Video coming soon of how this simple walk in the park ended up looking like a music video shoot!

Such a pleasure for White Balloon Films to be able to capture the amazing energy of the wedding of Natalie and David at Dundas Castle in Edinburgh. A beautiful Edinburgh venue serving as the perfect backdrop to this lovely couple’s wedding. As the first White Balloon Films wedding of 2015, it was the first time we could use our new Panasonic GH4 ultra-HD 4K cameras and the results were amazing! Here is a screenshot taken from some of the footage. Each frame is a photo! Lots more screenshots to come!

White Balloon Films had a lot of fun creating these save-the-date videos for some of our soon to be married couples. Using some of our favourite shots from weddings at gorgeous venues such as Blairquhan Castle, Mar Hall and Glasgow University Chapel, we customised these videos for our couples.
Well it was bound to happen, how could we resist it any longer?! White Balloon Films now has aerial videography capability and looking at our calendar for 2015, we cannot wait to get out there and capture some incredible aerial video at the weddings we have the good fortune of filming this year! Where possible, all existing and new bookings will have aerial videography by White Balloon Films included as standard!
For those who are not so familiar with the phenomenon of aerial videography, take a wee look at the promotional video we filmed for The Byre at Inchyra below and you will get a feel for how we will incorporate the aerial video in your wedding video. The footage is astonishing! Of course, for your cinematic wedding video, aerial videography is just one tiny part of the puzzle that goes towards completing your wedding film. Remaining by far the most important asset in White Balloon Films is the uniquely coordinated and synchronised way that Alina and I operate as an experienced husband and wife team, filming your day in the most cinematic and high quality fashion. Our expertise is continually being refined and even after filming 80 weddings in the last two years, we are finding new ways to further improve our service. We treat every wedding we film as an opportunity to further push the boundaries of what can be expected from a cinematic wedding video and this ethos of continual learning and development will never change. All that being said, to set the scene for your wedding day, footage doesn’t get much more impressive than well placed and well filmed aerial videography and we are thrilled to be able to add this to our arsenal of equipment.
For those of you who have booked with us already, we look forward to filming your wedding day. For those of you who have yet to say hello, we can’t wait to meet you!
What a perfect venue for the wedding of Laura and James. Such a classy and sophisticated setting for this fun couple, Eaves Hall in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire was just ideal. Although White Balloon Films tends to film weddings around Scotland, we are more than happy to travel to capture couples’ wedding days. Laura and James found us a year ago when browsing the Rock My Wedding blog and knew that White Balloon Films was the right match. Every element of their Eaves Hall wedding was meticulously planned and as a consequence, the relaxation of Laura and James was clear to see on the day itself. An absolute pleasure for White Balloon Films to travel to England to film this special day. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness!
Any film buffs out there fancy getting married in the Grosvenor Cinema, Ashton Lane, Glasgow? Well that is exactly what Gill and Ross did for their Glasgow wedding day! We often talk about how White Balloon Films produces cinematic wedding videos but never have we filmed a cinematic wedding video in a cinema! A unique location for a unique wedding. Following this special ceremony, proceedings then moved onwards to Oran Mor, Glasgow where our lovely couple partied the night away! Here are your wedding highlights by White Balloon Films!
