As Glasgow wedding videographers, Alina and I are used to being behind the cameras capturing memories at beautiful weddings in Scotland. Recently however, we were delighted to be asked to stand in front of the camera at a Scottish wedding photography masterclass hosted by Eric-Rene Penoy in Glencoe, Scotland. Together with fellow Scottish wedding photographer extraodinaire, Mark Pacura Photography, we were reminded what our wedding couples feel when they are being photographed on their big day. Click on the photo below to be taken through to Eric Rene Penoy’s website to see more of White Balloon Films, Alina and Stewart, at this Glencoe photoshoot.

White Balloon Films is still coming to terms with the awesomeness of our new for 2015, licensed aerial videography capability. Here is cheeky wee shot we took in Scotland when we were working with the incomparable wedding photographer, Chantal Lachance-Gibson Photography, on a styled shoot at Ardkinglas Estate a few days ago. Lots more aerial videography to come from us on this one!
The other epic wedding suppliers involved were Flossy and Dossy, Floral Menagerie, Gioia Mia, Pamper & Polish, The Little Cake Parlour Glasgow, DaisyBisley!
Anyone for slow-motion confetti? We are!! Wedding photography and wedding video videography are so closely related but capture our couples’ memories in such different ways. We have no doubt Mark Pacura Photography has a cracker of a still image for this moment so here is some moving image from White Balloon Films to fill in the gaps! Filmed at Pollok House in Glasgow, Scotland.
What a treat it was for White Balloon Films to film at a Glasgow wedding venue as local for us as Pollok House. As Scottish wedding videographers, we are used to travelling around our beautiful country of Scotland to some of the finest wedding venues but Pollok House certainly ranks highly amongst them. Our lovely couple, Donna and Mark, clearly enjoyed their day in this magnificent house and the weather was even forgiving enough to offer some blue skies and sunshine for the reception. We will be editing their wedding footage soon but in the meantime, here are some screenshots from this wonderful Glasgow wedding!

Spoiler alert…this is quite dramatic! At White Balloon Films we have been talking quite a bit about our new capabilities so here is a little glimpse into the future of White Balloon Films! Aerial videography and photography has evolved so dramatically in the last year or two that it can be hard to keep. Nonetheless, the outcome is still the same, i.e. reasonably affordable and useable equipment is available to boutique production companies like White Balloon Films as as such we are able to create dramatic aerial footage that until now, would have only been available to big budget TV and film productions. We are extremely excited to continue to explore the opportunities in the world of Scottish wedding videography!
We love vintage filming, it’s cool. What is even cooler is when you add in some groovy new techniques like miniature effect on your state-of-the-art Panasonic GH4 cameras…fun times! Here is some honeymoon inspiration from White Balloon Films. If you haven’t been, go to Greece, it’s awesome! White Balloon Films was lucky enough to have this video picked up by Visit Greece and we featured as guest bloggers. Maybe we shouldn’t take our work with us on holiday, but can you blame us? We love being Scottish wedding videographers!
Over the winter, White Balloon Films has been adding a range of new capabilities and equipment to its Scottish wedding videography offering. One such addition is aerial video. Recently, we travelled north of Glasgow to Loch Lomond to film a ‘styled shoot’ with a couple of wonderful models and some of Scotland’s finest wedding suppliers. Scotland is so full of wonderful locations to film, we really are blessed. When it comes to aerial video this could not be more true. We look forward to bringing you some footage from this amazing shoot but in the meantime, here is a wee photo of Stewart and Alina from White Balloon Films in action at Loch Lomond.

Awesome Scottish wedding suppliers on this shoot were:
White Balloon Films
Jo Donaldson Photography
Jennifer Thomson Hair
Wildflower Florist
Pro Bridal Team Scotland
Loch Lomond Waterfront
What better way could there be to celebrate your wedding than to have exclusive access to a fantastic castle in the outskirts of Edinburgh. White Balloon Films has produced wedding films at Dundas Castle before but each time is equally special. Our lovely couple, Natalie and David, travelled up from London to marry in their native Scotland. An absolute pleasure to be Edinburgh wedding videographer on this special day!
What a great day White Balloon Films had meeting loads of lovely couples at The Glasgow Wedding Collective fair! We had a lovely time describing our cinematic wedding videography service to couples who are getting married all over Scotland and the UK. Lovely to meet you all!

Some maths from Scottish wedding videographers White Balloon Films…
Tilt-shift + 3-axis gimbal + 4K + 96fps = awesome and we are bringing them to your wedding!! Yesterday’s walk in the park escalated somewhat…check the video, get to know us better and you will understand why we are super-excited about this year’s wedding season!
